Organisation: Butterfly Conservation
This is a volunteer role
Info: Let your volunteering take flight with butterfly surveying on Exmoor
Closing date: 14/06/2019
Hours: Flexible May - July 2019
Butterfly Conservation rely on volunteers to help keep track of butterfly populations across the UK. Ongoing recording and monitoring programmes help us direct our conservation effort where it is needed. It also helps us asses how effective current conservation work is. We are looking for survey volunteers to help monitor rare butterflies on Exmoor this May - July. Exmoor is home to three of the rarest butterflies in the UK - the Heath Fritillary, High Brown Fritillary, and Small Pearl-bordered Fritillary. Commitment to surveys can be as little as one day a year and involve walking in a beautiful spot on a lovely, sunny day. Anyone can take part, from beginners to experienced recorder. Training given. See attached role description for further info and details of the training workshop
