You will play a pivotal role to progress the draft Local Plan and suite of technical documents to publication and submission stage. You will manage relationships with key stakeholders and neighbouring authorities facilitating critical elements such as "duty to cooperate" and strategic partnerships. You will need to demonstrate experience of development plans and Local Plan preparation, and be adept at managing stakeholder relationships as well as drafting technical documents.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to use your skills and experience to contribute to the sustainable development of one of England's most stunning landscapes. 

You will need at least a degree level qualification in planning or a related discipline and understand the Local Plan process but just as importantly you will be a team player with effective communication and analytical skills.

You will be responsible for providing technical support to the Access and Recreation Team and our volunteers across a range of duties to help us promote enjoyment of the National Park.

Ideally you will have some knowledge and experience in Public Rights of Way and Access work but more importantly you will need to be well organised and have a range of technical skills. The post holder will regularly use Geographical Information Systems (GIS), website content management systems and databases. You must be a confident communicator able to explain policies, decisions and procedures to a wide range of people.

Improving Health and Wellbeing
£23,188 - £26,539 per annum
3 year fixed term contract

This is an exciting opportunity to work with communities and health/social care professionals to help realise the potential mental, emotional and physical wellbeing gains of sustained engagement with the fantastic landscapes and recreational opportunities within the National Park.

The focus will be on developing capacity, knowledge and confidence in target communities to access all the National Park has to offer and to demonstrate the value of the National Park in improving health and wellbeing.

This is a three year partnership between Devon and Somerset Health and Wellbeing Boards and Exmoor National Park Authority.
