Local Energy Assessment Fund
Exmoor National  Park Authority along with partners Exmoor Trust have secured over £85,000 of funding for community  low carbon projects from the Department of Energy and Climate Change’s "Local Energy Assessment Fund". This is part of Carbon Neutral Exmoor’s ongoing aim to work with local communities to develop low carbon projects
The Local Energy Assessment Fund (LEAF) aims to support communities across England and Wales to play an active role in the development of a low carbon society where energy supply is both secure and affordable. The grant fund provided by the programme is intended to help communities to prepare for new opportunities in sustainable energy and climate change arising from the Green Deal, Renewable Heat Incentive and Feed in Tariffs.
