"How many people see the stars as I do?” Life of Hope Bourne, an ENHS talk and video by Chris Chapman

Date: 7th Mar 2018 7:30pm-9:00pm
Chris Chapman will be giving a talk and video to the Exmoor Natural History Society on the life of Hope Bourne, who is possibly one of the twentieth century's most extraordinary women. She was intelligent, resourceful and deeply knowledgeable about her beloved Exmoor. Hope Bourne turned her back on a comfortable lifestyle and instead spent a quarter of a century in a remote valley in Exmoor where her love of freedom and wilderness inspired her to fend for herself. There, she scraped a living by writing about life on the rugged moorlands.
