Lyn Down and Cheriton

Myrtleberry-Cleave-ENPA-for-27-7.jpg

Date: 27th Jul 2019 11:00am-2:30pm
This circular walk starts at the lovely Combe Park car park at Hillsford Bridge (NT donation box). The walk climbs steadily to reach Myrtleberry Cleave with fantastic views across the East Lyn valley. We then cut inland to cross Lyn Down with wide Exmoor views. We then drop into the Hoar Oak Water valley with a small ford crossing to reach Cheriton. If there has been a lot of rain, then the walk will be shortened to avoid the ford. We then return down to the Hoar Oak Water to follow it back to the start. Please bring a packed lunch and waterproof footwear. Dogs on leads. 5mls.
