Temporary Path Closures
Bridleway near Higher Combe, Winsford (Public Bridleway DU10/6, Winsford)
Please be aware that Public Bridleway DU10/6, Winsford will be closed for 21 days commencing from Monday 15th October 2018. The closure is for surfacing works. An alternative route is available by kind permission of the landowner via the adjacent fields. Due to reopen: 4th November 2018 or sooner if works are completed.
Footpath near Edgcott, Exford (Public Footpath DU4/35)
Please be aware that Public Footpath DU4/35 will be closed for 21 days commencing from Monday 15th October 2018. The closure is due to the installation of a replacement footbridge. An alternative route is available via the road. Due to reopen: 4th November 2018 or sooner if works are completed.
Longer Term Path Closures
Footpath closure near Whitefield Bridge, Brayford (Public Footpath 8)
Closure until 26th October 2018. An alternative route is available with kind permission from a neighbouring landowner.
Footpath closure to Sillery Sands, Lynton & Lynmouth (Public Footpath LYN 24)
Closure until 16th July 2019. There is no alternative route.
Permanent Path Closures
Auntie's Path (near Watersmeet) Unfortunately, severe undermining by a landslip has made it necessary to close indefinitely the permitted path.
Porlock Shingle Ridge is impassable due to the breach. Do not attempt to cross, even at low water. Follow local signs from Bossington to Porlock Weir.
Open Access Restrictions
Advance Notice: Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (CROW) exclusion: Wootton Common
Please take note that open access land at Wooton Common will be closed on 27th October 2018 (one day only) for public safety due to a motor rally taking place. Site notices will be erected onsite.
