Key principles of the Moorland Initiative
Two key principles have guided the Authority's Moorland Initiative work:

First that it should be “outcome focused” – that it should make a difference “on the ground”, not only in terms of the condition of Exmoor’s moorlands but also in the way that they contribute to the well-being of those who own, manage and enjoy these areas.

Secondly, that that those who manage the moorlands, as well as all those with an interest in these areas, should be fully engaged in the process.
