Exmoor Moorland Forum 2007
The Moorland Forum provides an opportunity for all those with a direct interest in Exmoor's moorland to come together and share ideas. The 2007 Exmoor Moorland Forum was held on Friday 19 October 2007. The main theme for this year was moorland farming and in particular how to ensure that Exmoor’s moorlands continue to be grazed and managed.
Marian Jenner, Head of the Uplands and Commons Policy Team at Defra spoke on future uplands policy, John Waldon of the South West Uplands Federation presented the results of a recent survey of the state of upland farming on Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor and Flemming Ulf-Hanson from Natural England talked about the moorland Sites of Special Scientific Interest and progress towards achieving their favourable condition.
