WINTER WALKS
Exmoor National Park Authority rangers are offering people the opportunity of experiencing the magic of woodland in darkness during the weekend of 2nd and 3rd December to celebrate the Dunster by Candlelight and Dulverton by Starlight weekend.
On Saturday 2 December there will be a torchlight walk through woodland led by a National Park ranger leaving from the National Park Centre in Dunster at 7pm and lasting around 45 minutes. Walkers should bring a torch and walking boots and clothing is essential. No dogs are allowed on this walk.
Earlier in the day of Saturday 2nd December, there’s a chance for some tranquillity and to see some real Christmas trees with a National Park ranger, walking though Dunster’s winter shrouded ancient woods. Meet at the Dunster National Park Centre at 2pm for a 2 ½ hour/4 miles walk.
On Sunday 3rd December enjoy a torchlight walk through the woods led by a National Park ranger leaving from Dulverton National Park Centre at 4.30pm for an hour’s walk. Walkers should bring a torch and walking boots and clothing is essential, donations to charity.
Also on Sunday 3rd December, Up and down the Barle: join an Exmoor National Park ranger for a circular walk out of Dulverton. Meet at the Exmoor House car park (not the offices) at 1pm for a 2 ½ hour/4 miles walk.
