Alderman allotments and Almsworthy Common provides an amazing opportunity to explore an incredible Bronze age Landscape, with it’s mysterious stone settings, barrow and hut circle. Alderman’s also presents a relevant context for exploring bank hedgerows, another important aspect of Exmoor’s biodiversity and distinctive feature of the landscape. If you are lucky you may also catch a glimpse of red deer and Exmoor ponies from this exposed road side site. Classroom and field learning resources focus upon:
