Exmoor Tourism is the main area wide body responsible for tourism in the area. It is led by the industry with over 200 members from across the Greater Exmoor area. Members vote for the committee each year, with an additional two places filled by West Somerset Council and Exmoor National Park Authority Members (nominated by their organisations. Officers from WSC and ENPA act as advisors and work alongside the board. The organisation is primarily funded by its members and uses this to match fund grants as and when opportunities arise. Any business that benefits from tourism within the Greater Exmoor area is encouraged to join.

Exmoor Tourism was formed in 2015 by bringing together the Exmoor Tourist Association and the Exmoor Tourism Partnership. Further details about the changes can be found here (PDF).

A number of smaller local groups operate in the area and they are invited to send a representative to a twice yearly network forum held by Exmoor Tourism to aid communication in both ways.
