| Concerned with the Earth Science of Exmoor. It explains the underlying structure of sedimentary rocks and explains how and when this developed. There is a geological map, a cross-section, a table of local rocks and fossils with suggestions of sites for study and a useful glossary. A section on the history of mining is also included. |

| Outlines Exmoor's farming systems and describes a year's work on a hill sheep farm. It looks at the impact of agricultural changes on the landscape and the community and the role of the National Park Authority in relation to farming. |

| A simple introduction to the vast subject of Wildlife on Exmoor. It describes some of Exmoor's special habitats and species and typical flora and fauna (plants and animals). There are short features on red deer and the Exmoor pony. Filex 8 explains how the National Park and other organisations try to conserve (look after) habitats and wildlife. |

| Looks at the reasons why people visit Exmoor and considers how they spend their time. It identifies positive and negative effects of large numbers of visitors and describes the role of the Exmoor National Park Authority in their management for visitors.
