Rural Housing Project

The Rural Housing Project has been operating since April 2002 and aims to increase the provision of affordable housing for local needs, where it is needed, in the rural communities across the project area of Exmoor, North Devon and West Somerset. Organisations across the project area have got together to support the appointment of the Rural Housing Enabler, Colin Savage, to promote and facilitate the development of affordable rural housing (Contact details given on following Rural Housing Project leaflet) . The project has been funded by a partnership of joint funding organisations between Defra (the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs), North Devon and West Somerset District Councils, Exmoor National Park Authority, and four Registered Social Landlords (also referred to as Housing Associations), namely; North Devon Homes Limited, Magna West Somerset, Falcon Rural Housing and Hastoe.
