A section of the South West Coast Path is temporarily closed near Yenworthy due to a landslip.

The riverside bridleway through Blagdon Wood, Cutcombe, is temporarily closed

Milton's bridge (Exton Parish) is closed to walkers due to damage from a fallen tree

Permanent path closure

Unfortunately, severe undermining by a landslip has made it necessary to close indefinitely the permitted path known as Auntie's Path (near Watersmeet).

Porlock area

Please note that the permitted status for a small part of the route between Porlock and West Porlock is currently unclear.  The rights of walkers to use the public footpath along this route are unaffected.

Porlock Shingle Ridge is impassable due to the breach. Do not attempt to cross, even at low water. Follow local signs from Bossington to Porlock Weir.

Culbone Stone

Culbone Stone permitted access has been closed at the request of the landowner.  Group visits can be arranged by emailing the Ranger Service.  More information about Exmoor's archaeology and historic buildings can be found on the historic environment pages.

Access Restrictions

In Exmoor National Park, there are no restrictions in place on access land at present.  When planning a walk on access land, please see the Open Access pages of the Natural England website to check for new restrictions.
