CareMoor for Historic Signposts
Looking after our local heritage signposts
In 2017-2018 with support from the Heritage Lottery Fund, Exmoors' Historic Signposts project carefully researched, recorded, restored, cleaned and painted over 200 historic fingerposts across the National Park.
The CareMoor for Signposts Fund has been set-up to ensure that the work completed by local community volunteers through the project, can be sustained and expanded. Contributions to CareMoor for Signposts will be used to support annual maintenance and cleaning, costs of any future repairs or replacement parts, and to restore additional posts that were not part of the original project.
By supporting the CareMoor for Signposts Fund you can have the satisfaction of contributing to an important, and often overlooked part of Exmoor's heritage, as well as a vital part of our road network and local community pride.
