Conservation
Donations to CareMoor Conservation projects support the conservation of Exmoor's landscapes, wildlife habitats and heritage.
CareMoor for Nature conservation:
Woods & Trees Appeal
In June 2021, we launched a brand new CareMoor Woods & Trees Appeal. With the help of donations to CareMoor we've already plated 13,000 trees to create Bye Wood near Winsford in the heart of the National Park. Now, we are planting at Simonsbath. It's a really important project and we will be using only the best environmentally-friendly practices. Read about the Woods & Trees Appeal here.
Other nature projects help restore local environments, and removing invasive species, allowing us to conserve and protect more than 5000 species of flora and fauna and build more wildlife habitats.
Sowing the Seeds Appeal.
We're creating new wildflower and grass meadows on Exmoor - read about our appeal here.
CareMoor for Heritage conservation:
Exmoor is a landscape filled with history and archaeology. Recent projects where CareMoor donations have helped to conserve the historic environment have included CareMoor for Ashcombe Gardens, restoration work at Simonsbath and our CareMoor for Historic Signposts appeal. Your donations helps us protect over 8000 years of heritage on Exmoor. Please keep giving.
