Basic Spoon Carving

This group course will take place on Saturday 14th May 2022Aimed at beginners or those who’ve carved before and want to improve. Our resident expert Peter Collins will will instruct you in the traditional methods of spoon carving. We’ll cover safe carving technique with axe and knife and plenty of time to practice your skills throughout the day.We will make kitchen utensils to get you into the basics of carving a butter spreader, porridge spurtle or spatula.We do not provide food so a packed lunch is required. Lots of tea coffee and biscuits included. The course is outside in our woodland work shelter so suitable clothing and footwear.(Numbers are limited to 4 people per course. You must be 18 or older to attend. We can arrange a course for children and adults by special arrangement, just get in touch)
