Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway talk

Date: 17th Sep 2019 2:30pm-3:30pm
The Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff railway is one of Exmoor’s must see attractions. Opened in 1890 it is the highest and steepest totally water powered railway in the world. With a 500ft climb from the bottom to the top stations the journey is completely unique. This talk will provide you with the history of this amazing (and totally carbon free!) piece of Victorian engineering that links the two towns of Lynton and Lynmouth. Booking not required, the talk is free. It is also repeated on Thursday 19th 14.30-15.30. Fare information can be found on the website below.
