Spring Conference 2019

The Spring Conference is an annual event, hosted jointly by The Exmoor Society and Exmoor National Park Authority. This year, the conference is taking place at the Tithe Barn, in the beautiful setting of the mediaeval village of Dunster, on the northern boundary of Exmoor. There are stunning views of the Bristol Channel, Dunster Castle and Dunster Church which set the scene perfectly for this year’s conference theme. Dame Fiona Reynolds, Master of Emmanuel College, Cambridge and author of ‘Fight for Beauty’. Dame Fiona was Director General of the National Trust 2001-2012. Peter Beacham OBE, Chair of South West Heritage Trust and formerly Heritage Protection Officer for English Heritage. Adrian Colston, PhD Doctoral Researcher, University of Exeter’s Centre for Rural Policy Research and formerly professional ecologist and environmental manager for the National Trust.
