Viking Crafts Nalbinding
Date: 16th Mar 2023
On this day course, you’ll get to grips with this ancient form of knitting used by the Vikings to create sturdy and warm clothes from mittens to socks. Using period-appropriate materials and tools you’ll learn the Oslo Viking nalbinding stitch and go home with enough wool to finish your fledgling project.£45 per person. Includes a full day’s tuition and all the materials necessary to complete a future nalbinding project.Your tutor for this course will be Jen, a historic textiles tutor, Viking reenactor and tutor at the Ancient Technology Centre in Dorset.To book a course please use the link and for more information please email Jen at drakosdottir@gmail.com.Upon booking we will share details for the day and local accommodation, you may want to become a member and stay in our off-grid wilderness pod on-site.
