Whether you are an experienced walker or someone who prefers a short stroll, Exmoor National Park is the ideal place to explore the outdoors on foot. With over 1000km of footpaths and bridleways, through woodlands, by tumbling rivers and on open heather covered moorland, the variety is endless. Some of the country's finest long distance routes pass through our National Park, or you can plan your own adventure to explore this unique landscape.

Exmoor was the first place in Europe to be designated a Dark Sky Reserve. The lack of light pollution means that our skies are perfect for stargazers, and good for the bats and moths too!
