Members
The Authority has 22 members. 5 of these are Parish members, 10 represent County Councils, 2 District Councils and 5 are directly appointed by the Secretary of State. Full details here.
Independent Persons are people appointed to promote and encourage high standards of conduct by Members and to oversee the Member Code of Conduct. In July 2024, the Authority appointed Diana Mortimer and Adam Stanyer as Independent Persons under the Localism Act 2011. They are invited to attend and observe all Authority meetings.
The Independent Person must be consulted by the Authority with regard to matters relating to Members Code of Conduct or in respect of a Standards complaint.
