Frequently Asked Questions
We want to reward users of the National Park for taking care of this special landscape.
It forms part of Exmoor's Good Tourism Plan where we're working with partners to manage tourism in a way that benefits our communities, landscape, visitors and businesses.
This year we are piloting the concept. If successful we hope to bring it back over the peak season in 2027 and involve other businesses and partners too - watch this space!
Yes, of course. This year we are piloting the scheme through our National Park Centres. If successful we hope to broaden participation next year and share any lessons learnt. However if you are keen to offer something this year we are happy to have a conversation! Drop us an email at ruralenterprise@exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk.
We were inspired by the CopenPay scheme in Copenhagen.
Copenhagen launched a very successful scheme a couple of years ago and now run CopenPay year-round and are supporting other destinations to follow in their footsteps.
The context of running such a scheme in a large city vs a rural National Park means we've developed something more suitable for Exmoor.
There are lots of ways you can support this special landscape - just a few ideas include:
- Making a donation to CareMoor for Exmoor
- Volunteering a little time to Get Involved on Exmoor
- Buying local supports livelihoods and landscapes
- Supporting mindful businesses such as our CareMoor for Exmoor Champions, Plastic Free Champions and National Park Partners who are committed to keeping Exmoor Special.
You can chat to our friendly teams in our Exmoor National Park Centres to find out more. Or you can email ruralenterprise@exmoor-nationalaprk.gov.uk.
