Delivering for Nature - how Exmoor National Park Authority is meeting the statutory biodiversity duty and the actions being taken to conserve and enhance wildlife.
The Environment Act 2021 introduced a statutory requirement for all public bodies to consider what actions can be taken to conserve and enhance biodiversity. This could include actions on estates, in land management, or in policy making and decision taking. Public bodies, including the Authority, are required to report every 5 years on their actions and activities to deliver this duty.
