Informative displays, leaflets, maps, publications, exhibitions, interactive exhibits, a film theatre, and details of local events provide visitors and residents with inspiration and information to make the most of their time.

It is conveniently situated alongside one of the main routes into Exmoor and is ideally located for people arriving in the area.

Experienced staff ('Exmoor Experts') have an excellent knowledge of the locality and can provide bespoke advice to meet the needs of all those visiting. Staff will be pleased to assist with information about public transport in the area, including local bus services and the West Somerset Railway. The Centre has facilities for group visits, particularly students, who are studying the National Park.

The centre’s retail space provides an excellent range of books, maps and guides and locally produced foods and goods.

Entry to the centre is free.

Winter Opening Hours 2022/23:
Weekends in November 10am - 3pm
1 & 2 Dec 10am - 9pm for Dunster by Candlelight,  
3 Dec 10am-3pm
10-18 February, 10am-3pm.
Weekends in March to 23/3/24 10am-3pm.

Summer opening from 23 March 2024:
10am - 5pm, 7 days a week.

Accessibility

Level access can be provided to all areas of the centre via external doors.
