Exmoor National Park Authority is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance Status

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to the non-compliance and the exemptions listed below.

We know that  there are some areas of the website that are currently not compliant.  Testing on Silktide  shows that as of  Sep 2026  www.exmoor-nationalpark is shown as being 86% compliant against the  WCAG 2.2 level AA.

  • There are some key documents that are not available in an accessible html format.
  • Most older pdf documents are not fully accessible to screen reader software ( although many of those fall under the exemption of being pre 2018)
  • Some embedded videos have poor captioning where these are the result of automation.
  • Some pop ups and embedded code from 3rd parties  have some issues ( for example contact list sign up from Constant Contact)

What are we  doing to improve accessibility

  • We constantly review our website using  accessibility  tools ( currently Silktide)
  • To address the issues we have around  PDF files we have in place a  PDF Accessibility Improvement  Plan
