National Park Centres

Our award-winning National Park Centres are located in Dulverton, Dunster and Lynmouth. Entry is free and they are dog friendly.

They are the ideal place to find out more about Exmoor National Park and get the best out of any visit:

Planning ahead

You can contact our Centres before you arrive for local information or shop online and get Exmoor delivered to your door. Many of our products are also available to purchase online allowing you to plan ahead or to purchase a forgotten souvenir from home.

Located in Exmoor House (Head Office of Exmoor National Park) adjacent to the riverside lawns at the southern gateway to Exmoor National Park. The main town square with shops and services is just a 2 minute walk from here with pay and display parking available directly opposite.


Opening Hours

Summer opening from 28 March  - 1 November 2026:
Open 10am - 5pm, 7 days a week. (closed for lunch 1.30 - 2pm).

Winter opening from 2 November 2026 to 19 March 2027:
Closed for winter.


Accessibility

Conveniently situated alongside one of the main routes into Exmoor and is ideally located for people arriving in the area. There is a pay and display car park below the centre with public toilets. The medieval high street of Dunster is just around the corner!

Summer opening from 28 March  - 1 November 2026:
Open 10am - 5pm, 7 days a week.

Winter opening from 2 November 2026 to 19 March 2027:
Open 10-3 during weekends in November, 7 days a week February half term and weekends in March.

Lynmouth National Park Centre

You'll find us adjacent to the famous Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway opposite the seafront. While here take a look at our exhibitions which are updated regularly and watch our artists in residence at work. Ask also about our current events programme. There is a café on site,  with pay and display car parking nearby.

Open 10am-3pm, 7 days a week (Closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day)
