What do you love about Exmoor?
Exmoor is an incredible National PArk, i love the diversity of the environment, from coasts and marshes to woodlands and moorlands. It also has great accessibility for walks along its rugged coastal path which allows me to appreciate the spectacular scenery and awesome wildlife - especially the free roaming Exmoor Ponies.
What is one issue or topic you care about?
With anthropogenic climate change and a growing population, it is becoming more and more important that we look after the resources we exploit and maintain the natural processes that we rely on. Therefore, spreading awareness and encouraging sustainable practices should be taking place and encouraged so we can look after incredible places like Exmoor.
Can you share a nature-based moment in your life that is memorable to you?
I was completing geography fieldwork in Margam Park Wales and I experienced Red Deer rutting, I watched it from afar and there were so many other deer nearby in the surrounding area.
What do you hope to see/do/change in your role on the Youth Board?
It would be awesome to see the Youth Board influence/encourage activities such as ecology days. In this way we can allow more people to get involved with nature and its recovery.
