Celebrate #ExmoorDay 2026

Exmoor National Park Authority invites you to join in celebrating #ExmoorDay Monday 19 October 2026!

You can get involved by sharing your photos, memories, and experiences of Exmoor using the #ExmoorDay hashtag on social media, looking out for special promotions from local businesses such as 10% special discount for our online shop and by joining in our ‘Eat Cake for CareMoor’ campaign.

Exmoor National Park, designated on 19 October 1954, is renowned for its ancient moorland and coastal woodlands, free-living Exmoor ponies and herds of red deer. As night falls, its internationally recognised dark sky reserve offers amazing stargazing opportunities.

CEO for Exmoor National Park Sarah Bryan said:

“We can all be immensely proud of Exmoor’s distinctive landscapes, wildlife, heritage and vibrant communities, the people whose care and commitment make it such a special place. Through innovation and strong partnerships, we can build on that shared pride and realise our ambition for an Exmoor that is richer in nature and better for people.”

Exmoor National Park Management Plan Celebration Event

Monday 19 October 2026, 11am to 2pm, Porlock Village Hall

We’re celebrating all that is good about Exmoor, and in particular sharing the progress made over the last year since the launch of the 2025-2030 Exmoor National Park Management Plan. We join with others to 'Eat Cake for CareMoor' as part of #ExmoorDaycelebrations (cakes kindly supplied by Bampton Fresh, a CareMoor for Exmoor Business Champion). This is a great opportunity for partners, stakeholders and all those with an interest in the National Park to learn about the progress made working towards our vision for an Exmoor that's even better. Greener, wilder, more accessible to all and a home to thriving communities.
