Hours: 37 hours per week (part-time hours considered)
Contract: 2.5 years fixed term contract
Salary: £32,597 to £36,363 per annum
Based at Exmoor House, Dulverton, with a mix of office, home and site working

Help safeguard Exmoor’s historic environment by delivering practical heritage conservation projects across the National Park.
Exmoor National Park Authority is looking for a Heritage Projects Officer (Heritage at Risk) to help protect and improve the historic environment of one of the UK’s most distinctive protected landscapes. This 2.5-year fixed term role will support the delivery of our heritage at risk programme, working to identify vulnerable heritage assets and develop practical conservation solutions for designated and undesignated sites across Exmoor.
Working closely with the Senior Heritage Officer, owners, partners and specialists, you will coordinate condition assessments, develop repair projects, maintain accurate historic environment records, provide advice on maintenance and statutory consents, and help secure funding for conservation work. You will also contribute to making heritage information more accessible, supporting a wider understanding and appreciation of Exmoor’s rich and varied historic landscape.
We are seeking someone with experience in heritage management through archaeology or building conservation; project management experience or related experience; strong communication skills and a collaborative, proactive approach.
