Elemental Exmoor Experience: Meadow Yoga, Ancient Woodland Wild Swim and locally sourced food.

Step off the map into a hidden Exmoor valley for a playful, elemental gathering in nature. Beginning in a truly wild meadow surrounded by ancient woodland, we join for a grounding and dynamic outdoor yoga session. Led by experienced local practitioner Terry Bruce, to warm the body and calm the mind.

From field to forest, we then move beneath moss covered trees to a clear woodland plunge pool carved by flowing water. Nature's own jacuzzi. Guided and supported, we immerse in the cooling current, just long enough for breath and heart rate to settle after the invigorating cold. We return to the meadow to gather round the fire for hot drinks and simple nourishing food, sharing warmth, laughter, and that unmistakable glow that comes from doing something a little wild.
Small group. Secluded setting. Deep reset.
Cost £60 per person

May Half Term: The Great Garden Game-a-thon

RHS Garden Rosemoor
Families are challenged to swap screens for fresh air and friendly competition this May half term as RHS Garden Rosemoor throws open its gates for a week-long celebration of play: The Great Garden Game-a-thon.
Running from Saturday 23 May to Sunday 31 May 2026, the popular event promises laughter, teamwork and plenty of energetic fun set against the stunning backdrop of one of the South West’s most loved gardens.
This playful takeover features a packed programme of activities dotted throughout the beautiful gardens. Visitors can test their skills with giant outdoor games on Lady Anne’s Lawn, navigate a lawn maze in the Arboretum, or enjoy the timeless pleasure of a friendly game of croquet.
For those who prefer a quieter pace, the Board Games Hub in the Small Garden Room offers a welcoming indoor space to discover and enjoy a wide variety of board games for all ages – perfect for finding a new family favourite.
Meanwhile, the Stream Field plays host to self-led traditional outdoor games ideal for letting off steam - who’s up for a game of ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’? Alternatively, you can challenge one another to classic favourites like Snakes and Ladders or Twister on the Learning Centre Lawn.
Younger visitors (and competitive adults!) can join in with sports day-inspired challenges, led by the energetic team from Marvellous Eventures, including their much-loved tractor racing, at drop-in sessions between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm from Monday 25 - Friday 29 May.
A visit to Rosemoor also includes the chance to experience The Wind in the Willows: A garden adventure, running until December 2026. This much-loved interactive trail invites families to step into the world of Mr Toad, Ratty, Mole and Badger, celebrating nature, storytelling and friendship throughout the garden.
Remember too that well behaved dogs on short, fixed leads are now welcome to join their families every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
All activities are included with garden admission - entry is free for RHS Members and children under five, whilst tickets for children aged 5–16 are just £6. Families are encouraged to book ahead online to take advantage of further savings.
With wide open lawns, colourful spring planting and activities designed to bring generations together, The Great Garden Game a thon offers a refreshing way to spend half term – whatever the weather.
