Exhibition at Exmoor National Park Centre, Lynmouth1st September – 31st October 2026High up on Exmoor’s dramatic sea cliffs sits Kipscombe, an 880 acre landscape with a rich history over thousands of years. As it enters a new chapter, cared for by the National Trust, our exhibition looks at this special place and the people who have helped bring it back to life for nature and community. Featuring photos, artwork, stories and footage for a lively and truly personal take on this unique Exmoor project. Apple Show – we share the customs and old ways of the apple harvest with live demonstrations of an apple mill and press and the chance to join in with a Wassail!
Honey Extracting & Tasting – harvesting of our heather honey will be underway in the Honey Factory where you can watch as this delicious honey is extracted from our honeybee hives, learn about the process, try some straight from the hive and maybe have a go at extracting it yourself!
Halloween Candle Rolling – get creative in our candle rolling sessions and design your own spooky candle to take home.
Creepy Crawly Creatures – meet our collection of critters!
Tractor Rides & Silly Scarecrows – take a tractor ride around the farm and look out for some silly scarecrows along the route!
Autumn & Halloween Crafts – get your creative juices flowing and enjoy making some themed crafts.

Main activities:
We will learn about Water vole ecology and why they are the Uk’s fastest declining mammal. We will carry out habitat enhancement work to prepare the site for a Water Vole re-introduction in 2027; this will include building leaky dams using stone and timber, as well as planting beneficial Wetland plants to provide additional food sources. You can also learn about ways to be involved in this project in the future.
What to wear and bring:
*These activities will be outside. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather
*Please bring wellies as you will be in and around streams.
*Please bring: a waterproof coat; water bottle; lunch and snacks.
*We recommend wearing long trousers and bringing insect repellent due to the potential for ticks and flying insects to be present.
Additional information
*There are toilet facilities available: At Driver farm these are compost toilets without disabled access.
*Total walking distance for the day will by max. 500m. This will include walking across site over uneven terrain, and walking along/within streams over grassy, slippery, and rocky ground.
