A 2h-2.5hr/4 mile guided walk, exploring the hills and landscape that surround the historical village of Dunster. Join a guided walk leader and explore the picturesque landscape around Dunster. A 2- 2.5hr/4 mile guided walk, taking in the historical sites of Dunster village and the breathtaking views above the village from the ancient hillforts of Grabbist Hill and Bat’s Castle. Accessibility: The walk route includes some steep inclines, over uneven ground. A moderate level of fitness is required. Please ensure you wear suitable outdoor clothing and walking boots. Dogs on short leads allowed. Booking recommended. Walk starts at the National Park Centre Dunster. Easter Craft Fair with 25 local artisan producers ranging from various arts, dog apparel and jewellery to beer, cocktails, chocolate and more. All stalls will offer a unique product, with no duplication. This is the third Easter event we've held and they're always popular, attracting high quality small businesses. ...and seashore activities in the Lynmouth National Park Centre. Join Exmoor National Park Rangers in the rockpools of Lynmouth. Together we will search for chitons, crabs, sea anemones and find out more about the amazing wildlife that lives on the seashore. Meet at Lynmouth seafront for rockpooling from 11.30am to 1:30pm. Seashore activities will take place in the Lynmouth National Park Centre from 11am to 1:30pm. The rockpooling site is very exposed so please dress for the weather. Water shoes or wellies encouraged. Nets, buckets and knowledge provided. Attendance is free but if you would like to donate to CareMoor you can do so at Lynmouth National Park Centre opposite. |

Join a local bird enthusiast on a 2hr guided walk around South Hill and Varle Hill, near Dulverton. Discover which warblers make Exmoor their home in Spring and how to identify them. Ideal for beginners and those with some knowledge of birds. Please bring binoculars. Booking essential. £5 per person. Note: The route covers uneven, sloping ground, across moorland. Sturdy footwear and suitable outdoor clothing essential. Please wear dark colours so as not to startle to the birds. No dogs allowed. What is a horse riding weekend? These weekends are dedicated to those who love horses and life in the stables. If you or someone in your family is horsey-mad, take this opportunity to spend two whole days with the equestrian team for riding lessons, hacks, animal care, and lots of fun. Two unforgettable days exploring Exmoor National Park on foot with an off grid overnight camp out - borrow kit or BYO! In this fun and friendly workshop you will be guided through the process to create your own dipped resin flowers, using wire, florists tape and resin. These monthly classes are part of a series of flower resin workshops throughout the year, with the resin flower corresponding with the flower that you would naturally find in bloom in that month! The classes are suitable for beginners, you do not need to have attended a class before to attend any of the below dates nor do you need to sign up to all of them – you can “dip” in and out (excuse the pun!). In this relaxed and friendly workshop you will learn the intermediate willow weaving techniques and finishings to create a traditional stake and strand round basket, including 3 rod wale, French rand and 1/1 rod borders, using locally grown willow. This is a perfect next step in learning the art of willow weaving and is ideal for those who have completed our beginners basket workshop or those who already have a familiarity with weaving. The intermediate workshop will hone your weaving skills with more focus on precision and technique in order to achieve a flawless finish. The band take a refreshing “in with the old, in with the new” approach to interpreting, writing, arranging and performing traditional, contemporary and original music inspired by European and Celtic acoustic and folk traditions. We visit the iron mines near Beulah Chapel, the winding house, and the old village of Brendon. We see the remains of the railway built to carry the ore to Watchet for shipment to south Wales. Then we walk down part of the Incline, steep, spectacular, but optional and return to Ralegh's Cross Inn. Boots and rainwear are needed.
