Please join Walk Leader Gill Campbell for a guided walk to our annual Stoke Pero’s Carol Service.
Gill lives in Porlock and has led walks for the Exmoor Society and Porlock Information Centre for a several years. She is also part of the team that developed the Porlock Pilgrim’s Trail, a walk that visits 9 Exmoor churches.
This walk is in two parts. The first half takes us in a loop through Cloutsham Farm and along a lovely traverse, crossing Prickslade Combe, with views down to Porlock Bay. As the light fades, we will reach the tiny church of Stoke Pero for the candlelit carol service.
The second part, after the service, follows the small, surfaced lane back to Cloutsham Gate. If the skies are clear, we will enjoy the stars as there is very little light pollution in this remote location on Exmoor.
Those who wish to, can just walk the lane to the church and back, self-guided. It is signed.
Refreshments will be served after the carols.
Dogs welcome on the lead.
Children welcome.
Please visit www.exmoorsociety.com to book tickets. Tickets are non-refundable , except in the event of cancellation by the organiser.
