Please park responsibly and ensure you are parked legally, safely and are not blocking essential access for emergency vehicles, farmers and those living / working on Exmoor.

Exmoor National Park Authority car parks

Pay & Display Car Parks

  • Ashcombe, Simonsbath, TA24 7SH - cash payments only currently
  • Haddon Hill,TA4 2DS (from 25 March 2024) - cash & card payments
  • Tarr Steps,  TA22 9PY (main car park only) - cash & card payments
  • Valley of Rocks, Lynton, EX35 6JH (adjacent to public conveniences, please note other Valley of Rocks car parks are under separate management) - cash & card payments

Charges apply 10am to 6pm. Public conveniences are available at the above sites.

ENPA Parking Permit

An annual parking permit is available for just £60 (inc. VAT), providing free use of ENPA pay and display car parks for a period of 12 months.

Permits can be purchased online or within our National Park Centres and are currently valid in:

  • Ashcombe, Simonsbath, TA24 7SH
  • Tarr Steps,  TA22 9PY (main car park only)
  • Haddon Hill,TA4 2DS (from 25 March 2024)
  • Valley of Rocks, Lynton, EX35 6JH (adjacent to public conveniences, please note other Valley of Rocks car parks are under separate management).

Concessionary Passes

Concessionary Parking passes are available at a 50% discount to those receiving the following benefits:

  • Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Personal Independent Payment (PIP)
  • Pensioner Guarantee Credit

If you are eligible for a concession please email ruralenterprise@exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk with the evidence of your concession (e.g. copy of award letter) and we will send you a one time use discount code to order online. Please allow 3 working days for your code to be sent. Alternatively, you can take evidence of your concession into any of our National Park Centres and purchase your parking pass direct.

Change of vehicle?

Each permit is valid for a maximum of 2 vehicle registrations at any one time. If you change vehicles a new card will be issued (up to twice in a year for free, thereafter £5 each), provided the current card is returned by post or to a National Park Centre).

Lost permit?

A replacement card can be provided for the same vehicle registration numbers for a fee of £5 at NPCs or by post - please contact us.

Renewals

Parking passes are valid for 12 months and are not automatically renewed. We will contact you approx. 4-6 weeks before expiry with a reminder to purchase a new one in person at a National Park Centre or online.

Terms and Conditions

The permit allows you to park in Exmoor National Park Authority pay and display car parks free of charge.

  • The permit must be clearly displayed in the windscreen
  • Not transferable – only to be used in a vehicle detailed on the permit
  • You cannot create copies or alter your permit or allow anyone else to do so
  • Valid for 1 year from date of issue (1 week added to online purchases to allow for delivery)
  • Standard terms and conditions for parking apply (e.g. no overnight parking or camping)
  • Permit valid only in Exmoor National Park Authority managed car parks.
  • No refunds
  • No guarantee of a space - these are on a first come first served basis
  • The  concessionary discount scheme can be withdrawn at any time and is given entirely at the discretion of the Authority
  • We reserve the right to add or withdraw car parks from the scheme
